I am very pleased to announce I have a new partner on Floyd Files! Jeff Brown, from Christchurch, New Zealand, has joined me.
Jeff is known around those parts as “The Cast Bullet Kid”. He’s been casting, handloading and shooting cast bullets for many years and like me, loves to experiment and get off the beaten path.
Jeff has a lot to bring to the table here and I’m very excited to have him with me. Not only is he very knowledgeable and experienced, he’s a great guy! He is blessed with a wonderful wife and two absolutely beautiful daughters that call me “Crazy ol’ Unca’ Jim”.
Among his accomplishments, Jeff has developed a bullet lube made of all natural products. He calls his lube “Beaver Grease”. You can find his lube and other great products at http://www.beavergrease.co.nz/
Welcome aboard, Jeff!
Thank you for the warm welcome Jim. For those not familiar with the wild game of New Zealand the animal I have there is a Bennets Wallaby; just an average sized specimen. First introduced into the South Canterbury area of the South Island in the late 1800’s they are now classified as a pest. That particular hunt I went with a MILSURP ‘as issued’ theme and carried either my 6.5 Carcano or on this morning my 1916 SMLE in .303 British. Both shooting cast bullets of course. Wallabies are wonderful sport and live in some very rough country hence the glow I have about me.
I am looking forward to sharing some of my follies with you all.
